In this article,
we will discuss activity
10.6 class 10 science.
You will find a complete explanation with a conclusion.
After studying
this activity 10.6 Class 10 Science Light- Reflection
and Refraction, you will be able to solve Questions of Chapter 10
Light- Reflection and Refraction.
Activity 10.6 Class 10 Science NCERT
·
Observe the image of a
distant object say a distant tree in a plane mirror.
·
Could you see a full-length
image?
·
Try with plane mirrors of
different sizes. Did you see the entire object in the image?
·
Repeat this activity with
a concave mirror. Did the mirror show a full-length image of the object?
·
Now try this using a convex
mirror. Did you succeed? Explain your observation with reason.
Observation of activity 10.6 Class 10 Science
When we see a distant tree in a plane
mirror, we do not see a full-length image.
When we try with plane mirrors of different
sizes, we found that the entire object in the image when the size of the plane
mirror is a minimum of half the size
of the object.
When we see the distant tree in the
concave mirror, we find a full-length image of the object for certain positions.
When we see the same object in the convex
mirror, we always find the full-length image for any position of the object.
Explanation of activity 10.6 Class 10 Science
We can easily explain the reason behind the above activity.
i.
In a plane mirror, the size of the image is
equal to the size of the object.
ii.
In a concave mirror, the
size of the image is equal to or smaller than the size of the object for certain
locations.
iii.
In a convex mirror, the
image is virtual, erect, and smaller than the size of the object for any location.
Conclusion of activity 10.6 Class 10 Science
Activity 10.6 Class 10 science shows
that the full-length image of the object can be formed by the convex mirror for
any location.
